A clear vision and cutting-edge product development. Rapid growth in various vertical market segments helping publishers of all types and sizes prepare for the future. Put it together and the result is another honor for WoodWing Software. For the second straight year the company has been named one of the Technology Fast 50 — a listing of the 50 fastest-growing tech companies.
The contest is sponsored by the Dutch arm of Deloitte the financial services giant. To be eligible a company must be a technology firm at least five years old with a strong research-and-development base and must have its headquarters in the Netherlands. A company also must have a growth rate of at least 400 percent over the last five years.
WoodWing made the list last year finishing in the top half of the contest when the final results were announced. This year’s final ranking will be published on Oct. 9.
“It’s always nice to receive recognition like this and we’re proud to have made the list two years in a row ” said Hans Janssen CEO of WoodWing Software. “We had an excellent year in 2007 but in terms of being able to help our customers prepare for the future we feel like we’ve really taken the company to the next level in 2008. We are introducing a number of truly innovative solutions this year building on the idea of ‘blended media ’ and the response we’ve gotten from our customers has been very positive. We’ve seen considerable growth in all the markets — newspapers magazines books and corporate publishing.”
Janssen added though that while WoodWing is excited to be part of the Technology Fast 50 again the company isn’t resting on its laurels.
“We’ve made great strides and it’s great to be honored for what we’ve been able to accomplish ” Janssen said. “But we aren’t thinking about yesterday. We’re thinking about tomorrow. And we want to make sure that all our customers are prepared for the challenges tomorrow has to offer.”
