Heartland Payment Systems is a staunch supporter of the Durbin Amendment that was finalized on July 12 2011. Finally this amendment will cap the transaction fees of debit cards whether swiped or key entered.
Many processors will not honor this cap because they don t have to. Heartland has pledged to pass through this cap just as we do with our "Interchange Plus" pricing that allows our merchants to see the true cost of the cards that they are accepting.
