Specialty Equipment has agreed in principal to sell the assets of its Muller 227 rebuilding parts and service operation to ML Erectors of Elyria OH. The sale will be official on April 1st 2011. Jim and Jamie Spell will still hold an advisory role with the new operation and Jamie will continue representing the Muller 227 line as a manufacturers representative for ML Erectors.
The EZCOM inserter control system developed by Specialty Equipment and deployed on more than 60 Muller inserters in North America will be sold and serviced by ML Erectors starting April 1st 2011.
Matt Loftin is the principal in charge of ML Erectors and has assembled a staff with more than 100 years of newspaper production experience. ML Erectors operates out of a 30 000 square foot facility in Elyria OH (a Cleveland suburb).

With the completion of this sale Specialty Equipment will be concentrating their efforts of expanding their offering from the XiJet / Postmark Ink Jet printer line. They recently introduced the most advanced drop on demand thermal ink jet printer on the market. This new printer is built on Lexmark technology and capable of higher speed and greater throw distances than it s major competitors.
Specialty Equipment is also a distributor of Collins Ink products. Collins manufactures inks for most major drop on demand and continuous ink jet printers.
