NEWBERG OR. January 13 2014 — SP Fiber Technologies LLC (SPFT) announced today plans to convert a newsprint machine at the company’s Newberg Oregon paper mill to lightweight packaging products. SPFT will continue providing high quality recycled content newsprint for the west coast market from PM6.

“This project reflects the strategy to grow our packaging business while remaining a preferred newsprint supplier in the West. Newberg is a solid asset with great people. We are very excited about this expansion of our packaging business in the West.” said Allen Byrd CEO.
