When all the ballots are counted newspapers and commercial printing companies alike continue to win the most votes with Southern Lithoplate digital products and G7 quality support. Print producers across the United States that employ Southern Lithoplate solutions and support have been receiving top quality honors throughout 2013 in more categories for their superior printing.

The recognition by their peers of these companies’ achievements in quality is testimony to their continuing commitment to delivering the highest levels of excellence amid challenging business conditions. Southern Lithoplate shares that commitment with its customer partners and is pleased to congratulate them on their awards including multiple wins in national and regional competitions.

It was announced October 16 that The Villages (Fla.) Daily Sun had earned two Best in Show awards for the color and black-and-white categories in the Southern Lithoplate/Inland Press Association Print Quality Competition. This year marked The Daily Sun’s third straight Best in Show win in the annual contest’s color category. The newspaper also captured two first place awards in its circulation category. Entries were evaluated in four circulation categories on how close they came to reproducing proofs of color and black-and-white images.

Other winners in the contest revealed October 16 included The Richmond (Va.) Times-Dispatch (first place); The Forum in Fargo N.D. (first place); Livingston (Mont.) Enterprise (runner up); Star Tribune in Minneapolis (runner up); Faribault (Minn.) News (runner up); and News & Record in Greensboro N.C. (runner up).
