As you know Abitibi Bowater has been working aggressively this year to consolidate product lines and standardize specifications across our mill platforms. The benefits are important for mill efficiencies as well as to improve your flexibility in ordering our products.
We have made much progress this year and are in the final phases of consolidation with our high bright uncoated mechanical select and book grades.
Effective October 1 2008 the following grades will have a standard shade specification between our mills.
• Select & Book 65 and 70 grades will be made to the former Bowater shade
• Select & Book 75 will be made to the former Abitibi shade
Shade specifications for these products are available upon request.
