Multi-channel software developer Roxen has launched Roxen Editorial Applicance for Small Media on the U.S. market targeting small to medium sized (editorial staff of 5-30) newspapers looking to modernize their workflow at minimal cost.

Roxen’s new product contains Roxen’s flagship editorial solution the Roxen Editorial Portal a built-in OEM version of Adobe InDesign Server a backup and recovery solution as well as remote management tools.

Building on their current product line Roxen’s team has adapted its full system to a single Apple Mac Mini Server for turn-key installation in small media environments with built in backup and remote management provided by Roxen. With less upfront investment and deployment time required Roxen feels its Appliance for Small Media is a winning solution for cost–conscious customers looking to improve the quality of their publications.

“The goal is to enhance the efficiency and quality of news organizations with fewer staff” says Per Östlund CEO of Roxen. “We have seen newspapers with a dozen staff get looked over by multi-channel software developers. We want to give them access to all the functionality of the big publishers without breaking the bank.”

A preferred vendor to the PAGE Cooperative and Inland Press member Roxen feels its new product will be able to meet the needs of smaller publishers with an appetite for a modern full-scale multi-channel publishing system.

“Many smaller publishers are disappointed with the complexity and lack of quality of publishing solutions available in their price range” continues Östlund. “We believe that our new Appliance will change this perception”.

Roxen Editorial Appliance is being launched at the 2012 Key Executives Mega Conference in San Antonio Texas.
