NORTH CANTON OH (March 2012 ) – Presteligence an industry leading software developer and innovator recently released a new version of My News…On the Go to its 100+ publications using the service. The release included real-time authentication support and additional advertising locations for banner ads.
Real-time authentication integrates with publisher’s circulation systems and pay walls and relays whether or not a user has access to an e-edition. The integration will work with any system with an available API on the e-edition website and mobile apps.
Other features added to this release include additional advertising locations within the e-Edition reading window. Banner ads can be placed within the page frame and above the toolbar. Aberdeen’s Farm Forum has already taken advantage of this new advertising opportunity. Ad campaigns are built within My News…On the Go and are targeted based on subscription type and publication. The site logs all impressions and click-thrus.
Free publications and special sections have also been important for newspapers to feature on their website. Publishers can now embed a calendar from My News…On the Go into their website for readers to select a past edition. Front page images of the current edition are also available for newspapers to post on their site. These thumbnails will link the reader to My News…On the Go.
My News…On the Go produces a digital view of the printed newspaper along with related content from stories photos videos and breaking news. It provides a means for subscribers to accessing their news anywhere they want—via computer mobile device tablets and e-readers. It includes mobile web and App services for iOs and Droid. Publishers can increase new ad revenue from targeted in-App local advertising and national/regional advertising through integration with various mobile ad networks. Publishers can create different levels of access based on much the ‘reader’ is willing to pay.
Navajo Times and Clovis News Journal are the newest publishers to add My News…On the Go e-Edition services to their subscription offerings. Both are implementing free trials to their subscribers.
