Niche Academy will provide the learning platform to assist in comprehensive training for PressReader products. Each library will receive their own unique online training environment that records the progress of every staff learner and allow them to receive professional development credit.

“One of the most important things we can do to make sure patrons get the full value of PressReader is to ensure library staff become comfortable using and talking about the PressReader experience ” says Igor Smirnoff Chief Commercial Officer at PressReader. “This collaboration with Niche Academy will simplify the learning process for library staff. They’ll be able to take the training at their own pace and on their own schedule and refer back to it at any time.”

“Library administrators can also be confident that the training will stay-up-to-date without any overhead on their part ” says Jared Oates Niche Academy’s Chief Operating Officer. “PressReader is a great example of a premium content experience that libraries can provide to their patrons. When we help more patrons enjoy that experience it strengthens the brand of the individual library and the library ecosystem as a whole.”

The new training be will available to all current PressReader public library customers as well as those just beginning their subscription. While PressReader will be reaching out to all library customers over the coming months libraries can also contact Niche Academy directly to expedite the process.
