Screen (USA) announced today that the company’s computer-to-plate (CTP) technology will be on exhibit in three locations throughout NEXPO 2008 April 12-15 in Washington D.C.
Visitors to the Southern Lithoplate CTP Alliance Pavilion (booth #1332) as well as the Konica Minolta Graphic Imaging U.S.A. (booth #1912) and Anocoil Corp. (booth #1010) exhibition areas will be able to see Screen’s PlateRite News 2000 thermal platesetter.
Screen representatives will be on hand in the vendor-partner booths to demonstrate and answer questions about the high-quality CTP solution for newspaper prepress production.
The PlateRite News 2000 series is now available in four models to provide newspaper publishers and printers greater choice and flexibility.
Screen recently added the high-speed PlateRite News 2000S+ and entry-level PlateRite News 2000LE to the lineup.
At 106 broadsheet plates or 49 double-wide plates per hour the PlateRite News 2000S+ is Screen’s fastest platesetter.
Smaller newspaper printers find the entry-level PlateRite News 2000LE to be the ideal unit for the size of their operations. The PlateRite News 2000LE produces 26 plates per hour when using 35 x 23.2-inch plates.
The PlateRite News 2000S delivers 84 broadsheet plates or 41 double-wide plates per hour. The PlateRite News 2000E outputs 58 broadsheet plates or 26 double-wide plates per hour.
