NewspaperDirect Boosts eReader Support Hits 1 500 Publications

04.27.2010 – New York City (INMA World Congress 2010): EReaders and tablets have been making headlines over the last few weeks culminating in the recent media frenzy over Apple s iPad. In the last three months NewspaperDirect has doubled the number of devices it supports making it possible for its subscribers to read a rapidly growing selection of publications on their screen of choice. Along with support for the widest array of available devices NewspaperDirect also works with the largest roster of publishers which have partnered with the company for multichannel content distribution. Last month the company signed an additional 25 titles (from Australia China India Israel New Zealand South Africa Spain the UK and the USA) to its global digital network which now services more than 1 500 full-content publications. The pace has accelerated in recent months: it took nearly 10 years to reach 1 000 titles a milestone the company celebrated on April 20 2009. In the twelve months since then NewspaperDirect has increased that total by an impressive 50 percent.
