Miami FL. Dec 1 2010.

Protecmedia Corp announced today that its app News To Takeaway (www.newstotakeaway.com) specifically designed for publishers is now available on Android and Blackberry devices besides the iPhone version which was previously released.

”Publishers are telling us that readers are quickly adopting the new digital devices” says Bart Mariner General Manager for the Protecmedia US operations. “Without discarding the paper version readers want to access their favorite newspaper from wherever they are. Online editions were a first step in the digital age. Now with Smartphones the newspapers become not just mobile but really ‘personal’.”

News To Takeaway is an inexpensive app that can be customized and placed in the App Store in less than a week. This way a publishing company can go mobile immediately without overburdening its IT department with new developments. It only needs the RSS channels that usually already exist to feed the mobile version of the publication.

“Protecmedia also provides its MCM publishing system that allows publishing through multiple channels including paper online Kindle iPad as well as more sophisticated versions of iPhone editions” added Mariner “but with the three platforms announced today for News To Takeaway publishers with any editorial system can be reaching practically all their mobile readers in a matter of days from now”.
