Konica Minolta Graphic Imaging has reorganized its customer service team to better serve its customers as it completes the transition to a digital pre-media supply company. Under the direction of Dave Turner Vice President Technical Service the focus of the service organization has shifted to support CTP plates and associated hardware.
In order to concentrate on the area of future growth for the company service work related to medical equipment has been transferred to Konica Minolta Medical. A new service alliance has been formed with sister company Konica Minolta Danka Imaging in which they will provide installation and service for digital printers sold by Konica Minolta Graphic Imaging U.S.A.Konica Minolta Danka Imaging has over 900 Field Engineers to service and support digital printers.
This realignment employs the synergy among Konica Minolta Divisions to provide the best possible service solution for our CTP and Digital Print customers. The entire Konica Minolta Graphic Imaging Service organization has recently undergone additional training on CTP platesetters and CTP plate processors so they are certified by the hardware manufacturers. “Konica Minolta has always had a strong reputation for customer support” said Dave Turner VP of Customer Service. “These changes were undertaken to assure we can support our customers as they transition to CTP and expand into digital printing. This refocus and retraining effectively doubles our service capacities for digital products”.
