Seinäjoki Finland – June 11 2009 – SAXOTECH wins a major contract with the Finnish media group Ilkka-Yhtymä for delivery of a the SAXOTECH Mediaware Center solution to support editorial content creation and workflow management to the nine newspapers in the group.
Ilkka-Yhtymä is a leading regional media company located in the central-western part of Finland consisting of two large daily newspapers Ilkka in Seinäjoki and Pohjalainen in Vaasa and seven local and city newspapers.
The implementation of SAXOTECH’s Mediaware Center will provide a centralized resource and workflow management system for the newspaper s 150 editorial users who will rely on the solution for planning creation and production. The fast implementation process will allow Ilkka and Pohjalainen to go-live in the beginning of October.
Ilkka-Yhtymä has great expectations for their new management solution. "SAXOTECH Editorial will give our newspapers a modern simple flexible and effective system for multi-channel publishing of news and information. The new editorial system will be our main platform within planning information handling content production and publishing. SAXOTECH has a major market share in the Scandinavian media market. This new contract with Ilkka-Yhtymä will be an important starting point for SAXOTECH´s activities in Finland with the ambition to serve many Finnish newspapers in the coming years.
