US Ink says it is ready to help companies improve their taste in newspaper advertising. In 2007 the food and beverage industry spent $8.6 billion in national advertising in the United States. Newspapers received 0.8% of that national spend. Flavor ad technology using edible film that tastes and smells like an advertisers food or beverage will allow printed newspapers to offer a taste sampling experience that the internet TV and radio cannot match.
