The News-Star will join Gannett’s consolidated Jazbox editorial system in Louisiana. “We wanted to take advantage of workflow synergies with our sister Gannett sites that are already centralized on the Jazbox system ” said Kathy Spurlock Executive Editor of The News-Star.

The Jazbox installation begins in July and The News-Star will be completely live by the end of September. The Executive Editor said “We expect it to be an easy transition for our staff.” The News-Star is a daily newspaper in Monroe LA that was founded in 1890 and is owned by Gannett Company Inc.
