Colorado’s largest privately owned weekly newspaper group has moved its 19 publications (circulation of 196.000) to Roxen’s recently released editorial publishing system Roxen Editorial Appliance. The new solution provides the newspapers with the powerful editorial publishing system Roxen Editorial Portal without requiring any local installation systems management or software configuration.

– Shifting to a new joint production system has been a critical move in consolidating a number of publications now all part of the same family. We added 12 community newspapers through an acquisition earlier this year and by moving all our publications to Roxen Editorial Appliance we expect significant improvements in productivity as well as better overview and control. We now have a production system to grow with and most importantly our staff is now equipped with a state-of-the art publishing tool that streamlines text and image handling and eliminates the need for tedious manual work. All in order to allow us to focus on providing local news to our readers every week says Gerard Healey President of Colorado Community Media.

Roxen Editorial Appliance is a customized publishing tool for multi-channel publishing of news and other content tailored for small and mid-sized media companies – a lean version of Roxen’s powerful Editorial Portal that also contains a built-in OEM version of Adobe InDesign Server a backup and recovery solution as well as remote management tools. Roxen Editorial Appliance offers a turnkey solution that runs on an Apple MacMini server located at the customer or at an external data center.

– Roxen Editorial Appliance has attracted great interest from media companies in the US and elsewhere. For mid-sized publishers like Colorado Community Media access to Roxen’s Editorial Portal in its Appliance version offers unprecedented efficiency flexibility and scalability at a very attractive price. A new editorial system for print web and all other digital channels is deployed in just a few days and with a system that is built for remote hosting and management publishers are prepared for the technology shifts ahead already today says Per Östlund CEO of Roxen.
